UK homeworkers can expect a £45 increase to monthly energy bills

A team of researchers at Nottingham Trent University has concluded that people working from home in the UK can expect their energy bills to increase by up to £45 per month.
Their research also demonstrates the gap between energy efficient homes and those which perform poorly on energy efficiency, and particularly highlights the importance of well insulated homes. Heating bills in a poorly-insulated detached house can be expected to rise by £28 a month – compared with a rise of just £1.31 for a well-insulated, energy efficient home.
